A common issue when adding IDs from a spreadsheet is that all IDs may appear in a single line or cell after pasting. This typically happens when the ID row isn't correctly selected before pasting.
-
Important: To avoid this, make sure to click once on the desired ID cell so it is highlighted. Do not double-click into the cell, as that will place the cursor inside the cell for editing and cause the pasted IDs to fill into one cell instead of multiple rows.
-
- If there are errors, double-check that no extra rows were highlighted when copying and pasting from the spreadsheet.
- If there is a head count of 10 animals, there MUST be ten IDs entered. If one animal does not have an ID, a placeholder, such as “N/A,” needs to be entered.
