Sometimes, depending on timing, labs will run the FAVN test and email the “unofficial” results to the veterinarian so that they can complete the CVI. They will then send a hard-copy of the original lab submittal form with the results included, via the mail, to the clinic.
For Hawaii, the lab also automatically sends the results to the State. The test numbers need to be included on the CVI but it is not required that the hard-copy be sent into the State. If the veterinarian has a hard copy when creating the Hawaii Health Certificate they can upload it, but it is not required.
