If the pet’s veterinary health inspection can be completed within 10 days of the travel date, how does the dog get the treatment if the veterinary health inspection date is more than 5 days from travel?

If the health inspection is completed more than 5 days from the arrival date of the dog into the country, the health certificate can be sent into the USDA for endorsement without the treatment being completed.

The GVL system will collect the treatment product name and manufacturer information, but the date/time administered and the vet’s name and signature will need to be added after the vet receives the endorsed paperwork back from the USDA. The treatment will still need to be administered within the 24 to 120 hours window
