Email Statuses and the Email Log Location

Where to find the Email Log: 

To access the email log:

  1. Navigate to Find Certificates on the left-hand side of the page.
  2. Click View Sent Emails in the top right corner, near the Void Certificates option.

The email log captures all emails sent to owners, including certificate PDFs and automated notifications such as MyVetLink access grants.

What the Email Log Contains

Each entry in the email log displays the following information:

  • Sender — The name on the user account that sent the email (e.g., Sam Smith DVM)
  • Date Sent — The date and time the email was sent
  • Recipient Address — The email address of the owner or recipient
  • Subject — A brief description of the email's purpose (e.g., Certificate Signed, MyVetLink Access Granted)
  • Status — Whether the email was successfully delivered
  • Status Last Updated — The date and time the email was last opened by the recipient

Email Status Definitions

StatusMeaning
GeneratedThe message has been created
ProcessedThe message is queued and ready for delivery
DeliveredThe message was successfully delivered to the recipient
DroppedThe recipient's email server had an issue receiving the message
DeferredThe recipient's email server temporarily rejected the message
BounceThe receiving server could not or would not accept the message
OpenThe recipient opened the email
ClickThe recipient clicked a link within the email
Spam ReportThe recipient marked the message as spam
UnsubscribeThe recipient clicked the "Opt Out of All Emails" link
