How To: Using the New Find Certificates Page

Highlights

  • One place for all certificates: Replaces the old Certificate Search page for clinics
  • Flexible search: Search by owner, animal, certificate number, type, species, destination, and more
  • Fuzzy matching: Even if you don’t spell a name exactly right, you’ll see similar matches
  • Partial matches: Enter part of a certificate number and still find results
  • Date filters: Search by the date a certificate was signed
  • Batch actions: Download, print, or email multiple certificates at once

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log in to your GlobalVetLink account
  2. From the left-hand navigation menu, click Find certificates.

  1. In the search bar, enter one or more details (certificate number, owner name, animal name, certificate type, etc.). You can combine multiple details (e.g., Owner + Animal + Species).

  1. Use the Date range filter to narrow or expand results (default is last 30 days)

  1. Check “Include voided certificates” if you want voided records included in your results.

  1. Search results will display with certificate details. Click on a certificate to view it.
  2. Take action
    • Download or Print: Select one or multiple certificates, then choose to download or print.
    • Email: Send one or multiple certificates directly from the search page.

Important Notes

  • The date filter is based on the date signed by the veterinarian (or lab technician for EIAs).
  • Only signed certificates are displayed—draft or pending certificates are excluded.
  • Certificates are downloaded as PDFs (EIAs can also be downloaded as an image file).
  • If no results appear, check spelling, broaden your date range, or remove filters.
  • Fuzzy search helps with minor spelling errors, but results may not appear if details are very different.
