What is the vaccination expiration date? Is it the same as the vaccine expiration date?

The vaccination expiration date is the date the animal is no longer immune to the rabies virus. The animal needs to be re-vaccinated on or before this date to not have a lapse in vaccination coverage.

The vaccine expiration date, also referred to as the lot expiration date, is the “use by” date for that specific lot of vaccine. As long as the vaccine is used by the date on the vial, the animal will be protected based on label coverage.
